Account & sign in

I'm not getting my email verification code.

Check your spam folder first. Codes expire after 10 minutes — if it expired, request a new one. If you still don't see it after a few minutes, email us and we'll help you in.

I signed up with Google and want to switch to Apple Sign In (or vice versa).

This only works if both providers give us the same real email address. If they do, you can sign out and sign back in with the other provider — we'll link the accounts by email and your Circles, dates, and history will carry over automatically.

Heads up about Apple's "Hide My Email": if you pick that option when signing in with Apple, Apple gives us a private relay address (like abc123@privaterelay.appleid.com) instead of your real email. That won't match your Google email, so instead of linking, you'll end up with a brand-new, empty account. If that happens — or if the emails just don't match — please email us and we'll merge your accounts manually.

How do I delete my account?

Open Circles → Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account. We remove your personal data within 30 days. Any Circle you own is transferred to another member, or deleted if you're the only member. You can also email us to request deletion.

Circles & dates

How do I add a date?

Tap the + button on the home screen. Choose the type (birthday, anniversary, or custom), pick a date, and choose which Circles to share it with. Mark it private if you want to keep it to yourself.

How do I invite someone to my Circle?

Open the Circle, tap "Invite", and share the invite link via Messages, email, or any app. New members can join immediately (open Circle) or request to join (approval Circle).

Why can't I see my friend's birthday?

Either you're not in a Circle together, they marked the date private, or they haven't added it yet. You can always ask them to add it — only they can share their own dates.

Will Circles add dates to my phone calendar?

Only if you opt in. Settings → Calendar Sync → Enable. We add Circle dates as all-day events to a dedicated "Circles" calendar so they're easy to find or remove.

eCards & gift cards

Are eCards free?

Yes — every eCard in the library is completely free, including Trending picks. You only pay if you choose to attach a gift card.

How does Apple Pay work for gift cards?

When you choose a gift card amount, we open the native Apple Pay sheet. Confirm with Face ID or Touch ID and the card is sent within seconds. Your card details never touch our servers — Stripe handles everything.

The recipient didn't receive their gift card.

Email support@joinmycircles.app with the recipient's email and approximate send time. We can resend the gift card delivery email and confirm redemption status with our gift card partner.

Can I get a refund on a gift card?

If the gift card has not been redeemed, yes. Email us within 30 days of purchase. Once redeemed, gift cards are non-refundable per the issuing brand's terms.

Privacy & data

What data does Circles collect?

See our full Privacy Policy. Short version: only what we need to make the app work. We don't sell data, we don't upload your contacts, and we don't read your existing calendar.

How do I revoke contacts or calendar permission?

iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts (or Calendars) → Circles → toggle off. Android: Settings → Apps → Circles → Permissions.
